Read a letter from Emily's Mom to JHC
Return to pictures of Emily
Dear Jessica’s Hope Chest,
Emily is doing very well. We were in Houston for 6 weeks in which she had her 20 treatments of radiation therapy at Methodist Hospital. The medical professionals who took care of us were wonderful. We miss them and I say that with all of my heart. It takes a special person to deal with children with cancer and they are all special. During our stay in Houston we lived at the Ronald McDonald house and met so many special families all dealing with cancer. It was an amazing experience for myself, Emily and all of my friends who came and helped.
Emily is getting ready to finish round 4 of chemo. She has a week long treatment this coming week. This particular treatment always seems to get her counts down and make her feel very achy. We are not looking forward to it. She has her 6 month scans on November 19th – MRI of the site, CT and chest x-ray. I will keep you updated with those results.
Again, thank you for helping my little Emily win her fight with cancer! Attached are some recent photos of Emily. The first image is her “cheesy grin”, the second is our Halloween picture and the third is Emily reading Elmo while getting her chemo.
Love,
Michelle, mom to Emily
