A letter to JHC about Eric from his Mom
Dear JHC,
My son, Eric Desawn Thompson was born with a heart condition called "TETRAOLOGY OF FALLOT" and a "Cleft lip/Cleft Palate". He has been hospitalized since birth. On the day before he was due to arrive, he had what is called "TETSPELL". That is when blood flow is low, or cut off and it makes the baby turn a 'blueish' color. So at two months of age he had to have open-heart surgery. The doctors repaired four different heart problems. The surgery went well, but a couple of days after the operation he had some complications and was placed on a ventilator. Then at around six weeks of age he had to have a tracheostomy put in his throat to support the ventilator machine. Although it seems like my baby is progressing, I know it will be some time before he is "out of the woods". I pray every day and every night that God will heal my son. I hope JHC will be a part of our prayers.
Sincerely,
Yucconda Porter
(Eric's Mom)
