Hey,
Would just like to take the time to let you know how little Hailey is doing lately. We have not had any surgeries so far this year so we have actually had a break in hospital visits. She was hospitalized in Dec. 2004 with pnemonia but we got that cleared up fairly quick. The weather here has been very weird so she has kept a cold a lot. She is getting very big on me and I'm having trouble holding her like I would like to but I have no choice but to use the wheelchair some now. I just found out I have scoliosis. It never give me any problems until now because of carying Hailey on my hip so much it just tricked the pain enough o make me go to the dr. and get an mri done. Anyway we are actually doing good otherwise and just wanted to say hello. We hope all is well with you guys and we think about you and all the kids very much take care

Hey Mack,How are you and your wife doing? I hope all is well. We are doing well; I just wanted to let you know about Hailey's upcoming surgery on May 31st. They are doing major surgery to her jaw and it consists of them breaking it and moving it forward. It will last at least 2 hours and I am scared to death, this is her only chance to ever get rid of her trach and I can't cheat her out of it, but she is my world and I do believe these are going to be some of the longest hours of my entire life. She just had eye surgery in January to open up her lazy eye, and she now wears glasses.
It's funny how much love you can feel for one little person, when I hold her I just can't hug and kiss her enough and when she puts her little head down on my shoulder I just melt. I cry when I think of all the pain she may go through with this surgery. I just hope I'm making the right decision. Please keep her in your prayers and tell others also because I know it helps and you can never have too many people looking out for you at times like these.
