August '04:Update on Jordan | ||
Dear JHC,| I'm writing this letter to update Jordan's health. Jordan received his Stem-cell transplant on June 30, 2004. What a success! It was a day that we will never forget. The day of the transplant Jordan's doctors told us that he might become very tired and sleepy, or that he might want to watch a movie while the IV (transplant) dripped into his blood stream....but Jordan remained wide awake. In fact he acted as if nothing was going on....What a day!
| Now, just 21 days later, Jordan is doing great. To God be the glory, during the whole ordeal he was only sick a few times. Even the doctors think that is great. We would like to thank all of you for your prayers. They are working! Our baby is doing great, as of today his white blood count is at a steady level; each day we walk 5 laps around the halls to keep his body strong. Some days this is quite challenging for Jordan, but he continues to press on. Again, I want to thank everyone at JHC for all your help and your prayers. Hope Wright, Jordan's Mom  |
