Kaycey was born with several Congenital Heart Defects and had been diagnosed with Primary Pulmonary Hypertension. Kaycey was able to get a heart and double-lung transplant on Sept 11, 2003. However, she was experiencing problems with her new lungs and had recently been put back on the list to recieve yet another transplant (lungs only). This was devastating to her and her family as it would prove impossible to get those new lungs.
Kaycey passed away, and it is with much sorrow that we at JHC say, "Goodbye." We understand that Kaycey died peacefully, they were giving her pain medication so she wasn't in pain. We are praying for her family and friends, as we know this is a difficult time. We are praying specifically that they will soon be able to think of only the wonderful memories that will keep Kaycey with them always.
