Mckenzie has a genetic disease called Mitochondrial Disease, this disease strikes both children and adults. About one out of every 4,000 American kids will develope mitochondrial disease but age 10. Approximately between one thousand and four thousand children in the US are born with one of the types of mitochondrial disease every year.
